The Optometrist - Pediatrics is a skilled member of the allied health team who provides general optometric services to patients according to the philosophy and practice objectives established by the Wisconsin Optometric Practice guidelines and Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) and the Department of Ophthalmology. The Pediatric Optometrist will provide comprehensive optometric care to pediatric and adolescent patients from birth to 17 years of age. The Optometrist – Pediatrics works independently, exercising sound clinical judgment and a commitment to customer focus, people orientation, system integration, and financial stability. The Optometrist - Pediatrics demonstrates leadership and professionalism as a center citizen when acting as a representative of the MCHS and develops professional relationships within the community to promote and grow the practice.

- Graduate of accredited School of Optometry; Pediatrics Residency preferred
- Prefer experience in multidisciplinary setting
- Current license of Optometrist (OD) in State of Wisconsin. Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agents / Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents certifications
- BLS certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred
